Age Criteria *

a) The age for the candidates other than SC/ST is between 16 and 21 years at the time of admission (as on 1st July of the respective academic year) and for SC/ST candidates there is no age limit.

b) Proof of Age: The date of birth recorded in the matriculation or equivalent (Class X) certificate or in the Secondary Education Board / University certificate only will be accepted as proof of age.

Eligibility *

Candidates seeking admission should have passed the qualifying examinations and obtained minimum marks prescribed by Government of Tamil Nadu and Anna University, Chennai.

** With Engineering / Technology as vocational subjects and any one or two of the related subjects like Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry.

* At the time of admission the governing criteria for entry and other eligibility norms will be subject to the guidelines of Anna University, Chennai/DTE which change time to time. Parents and candidates are required to re-check the latest criteria at the time of admission.

Application Form

The application form for admission is attached with this Prospectus and both can be obtained by post from ACE on Payment of Rs.300/- through bank DD drawn in favour of ACE payable at Chennai. The Prospectus and Applications Form can also be downloaded from the College website and used for applying. Such downloaded application form must be accompanied with a bank DD for Rs.300/- drawn in favour of ACE payable at Chennai. Downloaded application forms without bank DD will be rejected on receipt. Prospectus and Application Form can also be obtained in person from the College.

The application form duly completed must reach the Manager (Admissions), ACE after Plus Two marks are announced. No application form will be accepted after the announcement of the last date by Anna University, Chennai / Directorate of Technical Education.

In support of their applications, students must submit attested photocopies of the following certificates :-

1. SSLC marksheet
2. Marksheet of qualifying examination or equivalent / Provisional pass certificates
3. Transfer certificate from the Instituion last studied
4. Conduct certificate
5. Permanent community certificate
6. Four recent passport size colour photographs
7. Joint declaration by the candidate and parent in the specified format

Candidates from outside Tamil Nadu : Candidates from other states will be considered only under Open Competition (OC) irrespective of community while considering minimum eligibility marks. Other state candidates can also be considered for NRI/lapsed seats.

NRI Students :

The applicant seeking admission under NRI quota should apply to Anna University, Chennai (Director, Student Affairs) on prescribed form paying Rs.1000/- along with following documents for Provisional Eligibility Certificate. The Non-Resident Indian (NRI), sponsoring and financially supporting the candidate must be a blood relation such as father/mother/brother/sister/uncle/aunt only.

The Students must submit the following original certificates/attested photocopies to the Director, Students Affairs, Anna University, Chennai :-

1. Letter from the sponsor stating that he/she would meet the expenditure towards the student's study for the entire period - original

2. Passport and visa of the sponsor - attested photocopy

3. NRI bank account statement - original.

4. Employer certificate of the sponsor - original.

5. Proof of relationship between the sponsor and the candidate signed by Tahsildar or competent authority - original.

6. Evidence of payment of development charges US $1,000 - Photocopy

7. Embassy letter - original.

Documents Required :

1. No Objection Certificate from the Ministry of Human Resources Development of the Government of India.

2. Eligbility certificate from Anna University, Chennai.

3. Student Visa, passport and resident permit. (please note that original certificates are to be given at the time of admission.)

4. Migration Certificate.

Instructions for filling up the Application Form :

a) All details on the form must be completed in full and signed by the candidate himself / herself and parent.

b) The applicant must ensure that the address on the Application Form and the Acknowledgement Card are the addresses for communication of admission details by the ACE. The onus of intimating change of address, if any, after submission of Application Form to the ACE rests with the candidate.

c) Applicants should mention their contact telephone numbers at appropriate place for future communication.

d) Latest passport size photograph should be attached at the appropriate place on the Application Form.

Authentication of Copies of Certificates : All Marksheets and other certificates, not attached in original, must be duly certified as true copies by a Gazetted Officer. Failure in this regard will render the Application null and void.

Furnishing of False and Incorrect Information : In case it is found at any stage that a candidate has knowingly furnished false information on the Application, his/her admission, if granted, will be cancelled, and all fees and charges paid by him/her will be forfeited. The case will be reported to the University for debarring such a candidate from admission to any college in India.
