In September 2005 Principals
of Five Leading schools of Singapore ( Like
ST.Joseph, Methodist.)under the Leader ship of
the Education Minister of Singapore visited Alpha
to share methodologies. This was followed by the
visit of principal and other management members
of Raffles International Singapore and Bowen secondary
school Singapore in November 2005 . This bloomed
into a twinning programme between Bowen Secondary
School Singapore and Alpha Matriculation Higher
Secondary School , Chennai. The MOU was signed
for three years and sponsored by ministry of Education
Singapore . As an out come of this great venture
14 students and 6 faculty members took a grand
four for 2 weeks to Singapore, visited many schools
and shared best methodologies and practices in
April 2006 In November 2006, 24 students and 6
faculty members of Bowen sec.school Singapore
visited Alpha for 2 weeks and a lot of academic
activities happened. “Neem as a village Pharmacy”
in science and “Vedic maths in Astronomy”
were two projects ferntly taken up by students
of both schools and presented again in April 2007
students and faculty members visited Bowen Singapore
and continued projects with comparison of uses
of Neem and orchids.

In January 2007 , 12 teacher
trainees from Pacific Lutheran University Virginia
USA visited Alpha to compare Syllali and teaching
Methodologies . They were very impressed by the
methodologies adapted in Alpha.

In 2007-2008 Alpha was
chosen to contest for ISA (Inter National School
Award) 12 projects taken up by students from STD
I to XII. All teachers and students were involved
in doing the projects in global dimension. Parents
and neighboring school were involved many Indian
and Foreign guest lectures were invited. The report
has been submitted to British Council and the
award is awaited.

The Students of STD VI
to IX enjoy the NIE classes (News Paper in Education)
conducted by THE HINDU. The students of STD IX
are privileged to have the personality development
classes by "Alma Mater".

 The
Group of Education World in collaboration
with IMRB conducted a National Survey to rank
the top 75 schools of India (in all streams) ALPHA
is in the top 65. Alpha is one among the top 20
schools of south India to be ranked and one among
the top 9 schools of Tamilnadu and the only Matriculation
school in the top ranks of Indian schools.

Under the initiative of the British Council, Department for International
Development, Alpha school has received a grant under Global School
partnership programme for reciprocal / exchange visits with two U.K. Schools
.
The exchange visits, offer scope for the two schools to share ideas
and work on collaborative projects.
Levendale Primary School, London would be partnering with Alpha Primary
School while Northumberland Church of England Academy, with Alpha High
School.
The teachers from the above schools will be visiting Alpha Matriculation
Higher Secondary School during the last week of January & the first week of
