    Alpha International School (AIS) is a part of Alpha Group of Institutions, managed by the 50+ year old Alpha Educational Society.


    It was established in the year 2015 and is designed to evolve into an infrastructure with resources and amenities commensurate with global standards. The pedagogy at Alpha International School is designed to support a developmental, student-centric approach, where teaching is coupled with a stimulating and varied curriculum. The school endeavors to ensure deliverables in accordance to the students’ needs as the school progresses to higher levels. Our goal is to instill an enthusiasm for lifelong learning and a sense of global awareness in each student, along with the necessary skills to prepare them for the challenges and changes, which lie ahead.


    At Alpha International School, every student is believed to be a unique individual with the potential to make a positive contribution to the school and society. The school aims to provide direction, advice and support, which students require to reach their full potential and nurture in every student a strong sense of self-esteem and personal integrity, with a respectful, caring attitude towards others.


    The school follows the CBSE syllabus with international best practices in teaching and learning. This opens avenues for students to stretch their learning beyond their textbook.


    Located on the Velachery-Tambaram main road, Sembakkam, the school is spread over one acre with a built-up area of 22400 sq. ft. Well-lit corridors display the art work of students in wall panels and bring life and color to the school. The campus has well facilitated, well ventilated classrooms. It also has well equipped laboratories, a library, studios for art, dance, music and theatre which not only serve the needs of all the students but also motivates skill building. The playground facilitates games and physical activities of the students thus making the learning holistic.

    Alpha Group of Educational Institutions has institutionalized ‘Seek, Share and Serve’ as its motto. With a continued search for knowledge and information, shares the received wisdom with the community to selflessly serve mankind. Every marble piece has within, certain unwanted parts, needing to be chiseled out by its maker, before being sculpted into a beautiful statue. Alpha over the past five decades is in the pursuit of this noble mission to help mould blossoming minds. We have diligently developed our academic philosophy by laying great emphasis on the pursuit of knowledge, its application and skills to help in its dissemination. Our underlying philosophy is to create new benchmarks by incorporating new initiatives in the field of education through modern and innovative teaching and learning methodologies. Alpha knows no bounds in knowledge and realises the margin fades forever and ever as it moves. But within its boundaries, the disseminated knowledge embodies the spirit of inquiry, research and quality. Our search is incessant, our service is ceaseless and our perseverance untiring. Imparting right knowledge, enhancing wisdom and creating distinct individuals is our pursuit.

    Alpha concurs on the magnitude of this statement and strives to impact the lives of the students under its fold with positive and transforming learning experiences. The holistic intervention in education is imperative in every stage of the growth phase of the student.

    We are thus constantly striving to provide a conducive environment to create a balance in the academic, emotional, spiritual, creative and physical development of students. We believe that in today’s world where change is constant and fast paced, we need to, as educators be adaptable to the continuous innovative and improvised models and trends in education research. This helps us to deliver quality of highest standards and provide a firm foundation for the holistic development of our students. The learning environment in the classroom is also aimed at teachers being sensitive to the various needs of different learners.

    John F Kennedy once said, “A child miseducated is a child lost”, thus at Alpha we go the extra mile to delve into all the developmental aspects of the student. We provide continuous training to our staff, in order that they may be agents of qualitative and holistic transformation in the lives of the students who pass through the portals of our Institutions.
